The best AI voice agent in India depends on what you are calling about
There is no single best AI voice agent in India. There is a best one for sales calls, a different one for support, and a different one again for elections and government — where the compliance rules, the dialect range and the failure consequences are nothing like a B2B use case. This page says which is which.

Most "best AI voice agent in India" lists are written by one of the vendors on the list. This one is too, so read it with that in mind — but it is written to be useful rather than flattering, and it will tell you plainly where AiSewak is the wrong choice.
The reason no honest list can crown a single winner is that the Indian voice-AI market has split into two very different products that share a name. One is horizontal business automation: sales qualification, lead follow-up, collections, customer support. The other is public-facing outreach at population scale — elections, government helplines, scheme delivery — where the caller is a citizen rather than a customer, the languages run to dialects rather than to Hinglish, and getting it wrong is a regulatory event rather than a lost deal.
A platform optimised for the first is genuinely excellent and genuinely unsuitable for the second, and vice versa. The table below is organised by that split.
What to actually compare, if you are buying for a public-facing programme
Dialect, not language count
"22 Indian languages" on a pricing page usually means 22 text-to-speech voices. Ask for a recorded call in Bhojpuri or Marwari with a real speaker responding, and listen to whether they stay on the line.
Compliance as default, not add-on
Ask whether AI self-disclosure can be switched off. If it can, the vendor has not understood the ECI advisory, and the liability lands on you rather than on them.
Interruption handling
Every real caller interrupts. Ask for a transcript where the caller objects in the first turn. That is the turn most agents fail, and no demo script contains it.
What happens when it does not know
A good agent says so and routes to a human. A bad one invents a scheme amount or an application deadline, and a citizen acts on it.
Data residency and deletion
Under DPDP you need a named purpose, a retention window and a deletion path that is actually executed. Ask to see the deletion step, not the policy page.
Who operates it on polling week
Self-serve platforms hand you a login. For a campaign or a scheme launch, ask who is awake at 6am on the day the volume triples.
Where AiSewak is genuinely the wrong choice
If your calls are to customers rather than citizens, you will get more value and a lower bill from a horizontal platform. Bolna, Ringg and SquadStack are strong on Indian-language sales calling; MyOperator and Ozonetel are strong if you are migrating an existing IVR and support desk.
If you have an engineering team and want to own the pipeline, build directly on Sarvam, ElevenLabs, Cartesia or LiveKit. We do exactly that underneath, and there is no reason to pay a deployment partner for work you are equipped to do yourself.
If you need to be calling this afternoon with no scoping call, we are the wrong shape of vendor. Our deployments begin with a constituency or a departmental brief, and that takes days, not minutes.
Which AI voice agent fits which job
Categories, not scores. A vendor being strong in its own column says nothing about the others.
| If you need to… | Look at | Why | AiSewak fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Run election or voter outreach | AiSewak, Campaign Mitra, Awaz India | Needs ECI advertiser registration, AI self-disclosure, dialect-level language work and booth-level reporting. General CX platforms have none of this. | Built for this |
| Run a government helpline or scheme programme | AiSewak, Bhashini-based integrators | Needs DPDP purpose limitation, Indian data residency, answers grounded in departmental circulars, and reach to feature-phone users. | Built for this |
| Reach citizens in regional dialects | AiSewak, Sarvam AI, Bhashini stack | Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Marwari, Mewari, Santhali. Most platforms stop at the 22 scheduled languages, which is not the same thing. | Built for this |
| Automate sales or lead qualification | Bolna, Ringg AI, SquadStack, Retell | Optimised for CRM integration, call scoring and SDR workflows. Faster to self-serve and cheaper at SMB volumes. | Not our use case |
| Run an SMB customer-support line | MyOperator, Haptik, Yellow.ai, Ozonetel | Bundled CPaaS, IVR migration, ticketing integration and per-seat pricing that suits a support team. | Not our use case |
| Build your own agent on raw models | Sarvam AI, ElevenLabs, Cartesia, LiveKit | You want the model and the pipeline, not a managed deployment, and you have the engineering team to run it. | Not our use case |
AiSewak is a managed deployment partner, not a self-serve platform. If you want to sign up, paste a prompt and start calling leads this afternoon, one of the vendors in the lower three rows will serve you better and we will say so on the call.

These are running agents, not recordings. Open one, press call and speak to it in Hindi or English — the same stack that runs the deployments described above.

Frequently asked questions
Which is the best AI voice agent in India?
It depends entirely on who you are calling. For sales and customer support at SMB scale, platforms like Bolna, Ringg, SquadStack and MyOperator are strong and fast to adopt. For elections, government helplines and citizen-scale outreach — where ECI, TRAI and DPDP compliance, dialect coverage and booth or district reporting matter — AiSewak is built specifically for that job. No single vendor leads both categories.
What is the best AI voice agent for politicians in India?
For an MP, MLA or candidate you need three things a general platform does not provide: AI self-disclosure that cannot be switched off, ECI / state CEO advertiser registration handled as part of the deployment, and reporting aggregated to polling booth rather than to a CRM record. AiSewak, Campaign Mitra and Awaz India operate in this category; AiSewak is the one built around managed deployment with your IT cell rather than a self-serve login.
Which Indian languages does the voice agent speak?
Hindi plus the 22 scheduled languages, and the regional variants that decide whether a call actually lands — Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Marwari, Mewari, Magahi, Santhali and others. Agents run on a mix of Indic-first models and the MeitY Bhashini stack, and a single agent can switch language mid-call when the person on the other end does.
How should I evaluate vendors rather than read comparison pages?
Ask each for a recorded call in your actual dialect where the caller objects in the first turn, ask whether AI disclosure can be disabled, ask what the agent does when it does not know an answer, and ask to see the data-deletion step executed rather than described. Those four questions separate the category faster than any feature table, including this one.
Is an AI voice agent legal for outreach in India?
Yes, within a well-defined set of rules. The agent must disclose that it is an AI at the start of the call (ECI's 2024 advisory on synthetic media), outbound calling must respect TRAI TCCCPR 2018 and DLT registration, personal data must be handled under the DPDP Act 2023, and IT Rules 2021 govern the content itself. Election deployments additionally require registration with the ECI or the state CEO as a political advertiser. AiSewak ships these controls switched on by default rather than as an add-on.
Ask us the four questions above
Bring your dialect, your hardest objection and your compliance constraint. If a different vendor fits your use case better, we will tell you which one on the call.
Every AiSewak agent identifies itself as an AI at the start of the call, never asks for an OTP or a payment, and honours DND. Election deployments require ECI / state CEO registration as a political advertiser.
